I walked Singapore’s city centre for nine hours and more than 30,000 steps — the Supertree skyway, Cloud Forest (a favourite), across two bridges, along the waterfront to Chinatown, then by MRT to the Arab Quarter, and back to Changi Airport.
In 25–30°C weather I soaked up vitamin D and plenty of sweat. At Changi I booked a shower at the Changi Lounge (Terminal 1, level 1), collected left luggage, freshened up, and wrote this from the lounge with my phone charging.
My first solo trip to Singapore — grateful that everything went smoothly, and that I packed a full day of wonder into one layover.
